It’s no secret that the Tigers are conducting a heated search for a new defensive coordinator to replace Will Muschamp.

One of the candidates whose name has been thrown around is South Florida defensive coordinator Tom Allen. Before taking the position with the Bulls, Allen served the linebackers coach at Ole Miss, and he also coached with Gus Malzahn at Arkansas State for two years.

If he wants the Auburn job, he’s going to have to be able to explain his team’s performance against Western Kentucky in the Miami Beach Bowl.

However, according to al.com, Allen isn’t terribly interested in making the move to Auburn.

“I’m a South Florida Bull, and I have a great job,” Allen said.
