Change the channel? NFL Draft fans react to surprise Luke Bryan performance
Midway through the fourth round, ESPN’s coverage of the NFL Draft cut to a performance from country music superstar Luke Bryan, which surprised many fans, and not in a good way.
Bryan performed his hit song, “Play It Again,” before the network cut to commercial as the Los Angeles Rams were on the clock. Bryan quickly vaulted to the top of the trending lists on Twitter.
Even some fans who enjoy Bryan and that particular song wanted it to end as soon as possible. Others pointed out that it interrupted draft moments for the players being taken in the fourth round.
