Clay Travis is back with his SEC gambling picks for Week 2. The OutKick writer picked 6 matchups to keep a close eye on.

The first — and perhaps most enticing — featured top-ranked Alabama taking on the likes of future SEC foe Texas. No surprise, Travis had the Crimson Tide covering the -20.5 line on the road at DKR Memorial Stadium.

“The Tide is deeper and more physical than anything Sarkisian can roll out there,” Travis wrote. “What begins as a relatively close game thanks to Texas’s running game keeping it close slowly morphs into a rout. The Tide coast to a 42-17 win, giving you a nice cover to start your Saturday morning on Fox.”

Heading down to Gainesville, Travis has Florida riding high once move following its massive win over No. 7 Utah. Not only does he think the Gators will win and cover the -5.5 line, he believes Florida and No. 20 Kentucky will hit the over in points at 51.5.

“Last week I told you I loved the Gators at home to win outright against Utah and they managed to pull it off,” Travis wrote. “Now this week I think the Gators put Kentucky back in their place, stuff them back in the locker until basketball season, make it clear that the Wildcats shouldn’t get used to ever winning in the Swamp.”

South Carolina will travel to Fayetteville to take on No. 16 Arkansas. While the Hogs get the W, Travis is certain the Gamecocks will cover the +8.5 line. In Nashville, Vanderbilt and its new high-tempo offense led by QB Mike Wright should break the over against No. 23 Wake Forest set a 65.5.

In Tuscon, Travis has Mississippi State defeating Arizona and covering the -10.5 line. To round things out, Travis is certain that No. 24 Tennessee will keep its winning ways alive over No. 17 Pitt on the road by covering the line at -6.5. Combined, the Panthers and Vols should break the over set at 66.5.

“I don’t think this Vol defense is that great and that means Pitt will definitely score on Tennessee too,” Travis wrote. “But in the end, the Vol offense is just too much, call it 45-35, Tennessee, meaning you get your cover and the over cruises well past the number for a double win.”
