Cole Cubelic has revealed his preseason top 10 and CFP picks and he showed plenty of love to the SEC.

Cubelic’s top 10 in order consists of Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Florida State, Penn State, Texas, Washington, and USC.

Cubelic has Georgia, Washington, Michigan and Texas in the College Football Playoff and believes the Bulldogs will pull off the 3-peat as national champions.

“Yes, quarterback is a question mark for me but they have time to work that out….” Cubelic said of Georgia. “There’s not a lot of other defenses in college football that I look at and say ‘Oh, yeah. They’ll definitely be better than Georgia’s group.”

In terms of Michigan, Cubelic believes the 2023 version will be even more dynamic.

“Offensive line is stout. Great job in the portal filling their holes. Defensive line, stout. Running backs, amazing. Quarterback, tested,” Cubelic said. “Tight end losses, a little bit of a concern but I think that’s something they should be able to overcome. I think they continue to get a little more athletic, which I like about this Michigan team.”

Cubelic is concerned about the quarterback battle at Alabama. Instead, he emphasizes the sturdy offensive line as a factor for a strong season.

“What I know about Alabama is the offensive line is going to rip. JC Latham, Tyler Booker are going to absolutely get it. I think Kaden Proctor is a guy that we’re talking about in that group at some point this year. Seth McLaughlin is tested at center…” Cubelic said. “They’re going to roll people. They’re deep at tight end. They’re deep at running back. Other than quarterback, there’s very little concerns for me with Alabama.”

Cubelic thinks the continuity on offense at LSU will make the Tigers a tough draw for opponents.

“LSU. Jayden Daniels is back. The entire offensive line is back…Loaded at receiver. They got robots at wide receiver. Running backs not dynamic but they’re good at tight end,” Cubelic said. “They’re great inside on defense and they have maybe the best player in college football in Harold Perkins.”
