College football fans put together 'SEC Circle of Defeat' following wacky 2022 regular season
The wagon wheel of defeat? Maybe not.
College football fans put together a “SEC Circle of Defeat” for the 2022 season. It shows an undending cycle of transitive wins by every SEC team, except of course Georgia considering the Bulldogs are a few minutes away from finishing the schedule undefeated heading into the CFP.
Here’s what the fans came up with.
Friends and I took two hours to come up with this
UGA surpasses all, but you can do a circle for the other 13 teams

This is only possible because South Carolina defeated Tennessee. The Vols’ only other loss was against Georgia, which is outside of the circle due to its undefeated nature.
Vanderbilt and Texas A&M had to pull their weight, too. An inability to pick up at least 1 win in conference play would have derailed the circle.
If there’s one thing this chart does well, it’s remind you of the chaotic nature of college football.
