No. 20 Mizzou hosts South Carolina this Saturday in an SEC clash, with ESPN’s FPI listing the Tigers as overwhelming favorites against the Gamecocks.

The FPI projects the outcome of every college football game during the season, and it’s giving Mizzou the upper hand against South Carolina. It shows the Tigers with a 64.6% chance of winning their home contest this weekend.

Mizzou (6-1) re-entered the Associated Press poll this week after the team was briefly ousted because of its loss to LSU a couple of weeks ago. Mizzou was previously ranked 21st in the nation. The Tigers are back in the top 25 following an impressive 38-21 win over No. 24 Kentucky this past weekend.

South Carolina (2-4) is given just a 35.4% chance of pulling off an upset against Mizzou this Saturday. Last season, Mizzou got the best of the Gamecocks with a 23-10 victory on South Carolina’s home turf.

The Gamecocks are currently on a 2-game losing skid. The last time South Carolina won a game this season was Sept. 23 against Mississippi State. Following a heartbreaking 41-39 defeat to Florida last weekend, the Gamecocks will look to make some noise versus Mizzou.

The SEC East matchup between Mizzou and South Carolina this season is slated for 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday on the SEC Network.
