The Maxwell Award is given annually to the best all-around college football player.

Nine former SEC players have won the award, with the last one coming in 2015 to former Alabama RB Derrick Henry. The only two-time former SEC winner was Tim Tebow in 2007 and 2008.

Thirteen SEC players are included on this year’s watchlist, and three teams have two players each: Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Ten of 14 SEC teams are represented, as Arkansas, Florida, LSU and Tennessee were not represented.
