Charlie Weis hasn’t been a coach since 2014, when he was fired by the Kansas Jayhawks after three years as their head coach.

He also has stops with Florida, the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs as an OC, and was Notre Dame’s head coach from 2005 to 2009.

Now, though, it appears he wants back in the game, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that he’d like to become an NFL offensive coordinator again:

Weis has a career 41-49 record as a head coach, but he was much better as a coordinator, winning three Super Bowl titles with the Patriots.

Is Weis only interested in returning to the NFL? There will be several openings there in the coming weeks, probably, but there are some openings in the college ranks as well.
