Clemson’s star quarterback Trevor Lawrence may headline the Associated Press All-America team, but led by Alabama, the SEC landed eight players on the first team, one more than the Big Ten.

On offense, the SEC had Georgia OT Andrew Thomas, Missouri TE Albert Okwuegbunam and Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy. On defense, the conference boasts Auburn DL Derrick Brown, Alabama Raekwon Davis, Alabama LB Dylan Moses, LSU DB Grant Delpit and Texas A&M P Braden Mann.

No. 1 Clemson and No. 2 Alabama were tied for the most first-team selections with three. Along with Lawrence, Clemson had RB Travis Etienne and LB Isaiah Simmons.

The AP has annually released this honor roll list since 1925.

Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, the Heisman Trophy runner-up, was selected to the second team, alongside Georgia RB D’Andre Swift, Vanderbilt TE Jared Pinkney and Georgia K Rodrigo Blankenship. On the second-team defense, the SEC had LSU DB Kristian Fulton and Florida DB C.J. Henderson.
