With Week 9 in the books, the SEC on Monday announced its Players of the Week.

Seven players were recognized in six different categories — offensive, defensive, special teams, freshman, offensive line and defensive line. You can view the list of this week’s honorees below.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Nick Fitzgerald, QB, Mississippi State

Fitzgerald compiled 329 total yards and all four of his team’s touchdowns as the Bulldogs knocked off then-No. 16 Texas A&M 28-13. His 241 passing yards were a season-high.

Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia

The sophomore completed 70 percent of his passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 36-17 win in a top-10 matchup against rival Florida.

Defensive Player of the Week

Josh Allen, LB, Kentucky

In the No. 11 Wildcats’ heart-stopping win at Missouri, Allen registered a career-high 11 tackles along with two sacks. He anchored an outstanding defensive effort as Kentucky held the explosive Tigers to just 14 points.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Lynn Bowden, PR, Kentucky

Bowden’s turned the first punt return of his career into a 67-yard score that sparked the Wildcats’ dramatic comeback victory. He also hauled in a whopping 13 passes for 166 yards.

Freshman Player of the Week

Dylan Wonnum, OL, South Carolina

In his first career start, Wonnum helped pave the way for 224 rushing yards in the Gamecocks’ 27-24 win against Tennessee.

Offensive Line Player of the Week

Justin Skule, OT, Vanderbilt

Skule sprung Commodores running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn on all three of his touchdown runs against Arkansas. Skule also didn’t allow a hurry or a sack in Vanderbilt’s 45-31 win, its first victory in conference play this season.

Defensive Line Player of the Week

D.J. Wonnum, DL, South Carolina

One of Wonnum’s two sacks sealed the Gamecocks’ victory against Tennessee. The junior was playing for the first time since the season opener after suffering a foot injury.
