Big Noon Kickoff analysts weighed in on college football’s No. 1 team Saturday as the season nears an end.

For Brady Quinn, he has no questions that Georgia is the No. 1 team. He believes the Bulldogs have been the most dominant team once again despite losing some pieces after last season.

“Once again, to me, Georgia looks to be the most dominant team and you’ve gotta give Kirby Smart and his staff credit for reloading once again,” Quinn said.

Mark Ingram agreed. He said that the Bulldogs answered any questions about how good they were through a pair of dominant wins over the past 2 weeks.

“Why didn’t we have Georgia as No. 1?” Ingram said. “It wasn’t because we didn’t think they were dominant, it was because they struggled early, the strength of schedule, they weren’t doing good. But they’ve answered those questions, they’ve silenced all those critics with 2 back-to-back wins against top-15 opponents.”

For former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, he believes that the No. 1 team is in the Big Ten, and the true No. 1 team will reveal itself after the matchup between Ohio State and Michigan next week.

“Ohio State and the Wolverines is the No. 1 team in America and here’s why,” Meyer said. “In 170 hours, that will be the best win in college football, whoever wins that game. Ohio State’s offensive line was weak early, it’s strong now. They found that running game and they’ll have the best resume in college football, 3 top 10 wins. The Wolverines have not trailed in the second half. They’re great on offense, they’re great on defense, their schedule was suspect early, but they’ve pounded, ran the ball 30 straight times at Penn State. If they win next week they’re the No. 1 team in the country.”

Matt Leinart leans Georgia, however, citing the Bulldogs 27-straight wins dating back to December of 2021. He believes the Bulldogs haven’t given any evidence that they’re not the top team.

“They’ve won 27 straight,” Leinart said. “That alone makes them the No. 1 team in the country.”

The analysts then asked Chris Fallica his thoughts on the race, and the Bear broke down how Vegas ranks the teams.

“Right now, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon is how Vegas has it power ranked,” Fallica said.
