WATCH: Will Muschamp was not ready for a question about the solar eclipse
When South Carolina revealed its practice schedule earlier this month, it noted that Aug. 21 will be the only open preseason practice (also the team’s fan day). It’s the same day as what’s being called the “Great American Eclipse” a day in which a solar eclipse will be seen throughout the United States.
Muschamp's open practice is the same day (Aug. 21) as the solar eclipse. Eclipse is around 2:40, practice at 7:30. Open to the fans.

At South Carolina’s media day, one reporter for The State newspaper wanted to know if South Carolina’s open practice date of Aug. 21 had anything to do with the eclipse. It’s safe to say coach Will Muschamp was not aware of the event when planning the practice schedule.
So happy @CoachWMuschamp enjoyed our question about the Great American Eclipse. #eclipse2017 pic.twitter.com/IwXIYRvHgh

At least the reporter wasn’t asking about padawans.
