South Carolina has suffered more unfortunate injury news.

Will Muschamp announced Sunday night on his teleconference that freshman running back Kevin Harris has suffered a season-ending injury that required surgery. Muschamp said that Harris tore a ligament off of his pubic bone.

Harris is the Gamecocks third-leading rusher behind Rico Dowdle and Tavien Feaster. He’s rushed six times for 147 yards and three touchdowns, and he’s shown tremendous promise. He’s only played in one game against Charleston Southern.

Harris, from Hinesville, Ga., signed with Georgia as a 3-star prospect in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
