Tony Vitello and his staff continue to do work in the transfer portal. Following the commitment of All-American infielder Billy Amick from Clemson, Tennessee landed another solid addition for the 2024 roster.

Dalton Bargo is heading to Rocky Top to continue his college career. He’ll arrive with plenty of SEC familiarity, having played for Mizzou in 2023.

Bargo shared the big news on his Twitter account Thursday afternoon.

A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Bargo played in 50 games for the Tigers last season, making 45 starts. Over 165 at-bats, Bargo posted a batting average of .279 with 45 hits, including 6 doubles, 3 triples and 5 home runs for .442 slugging percentage while collecting 23 RBI. He recorded 19 walks to boost his on-base percentage to .379.
