Continuing our late-season daily series looking at the recruiting circuit in the SEC, we analyze the conferenceโ€™s top safetyย commits for the 2015 recruiting class. Alabama tops the list with No. 2 overall safety prospect, Deionte Thompson. Texas A&M and Auburn both have multiple commits.

SEC’s Top Commits Series

Using each playerโ€™sย 247Sports Compositeย rating, hereโ€™s how the SECโ€™s top interior linemanย commits stack up and where they stand nationally against other standouts at the same position:

1. ALABAMA- Deionte Thompson: 6-2, 181, Orange, Texas, Five-Star (2):ย Thompson ranks as the top SEC safety commit for the 2015 class.ย He received a perfect 10 for his playmaking and ball skills by 247Sports. He also has good size, instincts and a big frame to make an immediate jump to the SEC.

2. MISSISSIPPI STATE- Jamal Peters: 6-3, 200, Bassfield, Miss., Four-Star (3)

3. GEORGIA- Rashad Roundtree: 6-1, 195, Evans Ga., Four-Star (6):ย Roundtree committed to Georgia earlier this month. He has good size, speed and a SEC-ready frame. He is also a talented tackler, but needs to improve his instincts and playmaking.

4. TEXAS A&M- Justin Dunning: 6-3.5, 204, Whitehouse, Texas, Four-Star (7):ย Dunning committed to Texas A&M last November. He has great size, but must improve in several areas, including ball skills, closing speed and instincts. Dunning hasย raw talent and a high ceiling.

5. TEXAS A&M- Larry Pryor: 5-11.5, 196, Sulphur Springs, Texas, Four-Star (8)

6. ALABAMA- Ronnie Harrison: 6-3, 205, Tallahassee, Fla., Four-Star (11): Harrison committed to Alabama this past July. He has great size and ball skills. Harrison is a solid player but must improve in several areas to be a standout collegiate safety.

7. AUBURN-ย Jordan Colbert: 6-2, 205, Griffin, Ga., Four-Star (13)

8. KENTUCKY- David Dowell: 6-1, 180, Lakewood, Ohio, Four-Star (15):ย Dowell committed to Kentucky last month. He has solid ball skills, closing speed and instinct. However, at 180-pounds, Dowell needs to add size.

9. KENTUCKY- Marcus Walker: 6-0.5, 176, Lake Wales, Fla., Three-Star (21)

10. SOUTH CAROLINA- Antoine Wilder: 5-11, 175, Atlanta, Ga., Three-Star (27)
