Continuing our late-season daily series looking at the recruiting circuit in the SEC, we analyze the conference’s top dual-threat quarterback commits for the 2015 recruiting class.

SEC’s Top Commits Series

Using each player’s 247Sports Composite rating, here’s how the SEC’s top dual-threat quarterback commits stack up and where they stand nationally against other standouts at the same position:

1. ALABAMA — Blake Barnett, 6-5, 200, Corona, Ca., Five-Star (1): Hand-picked as Alabama’s quarterback of the future, Barnett was named MVP of the prestigious Elite 11 camp earlier this year and has all the intangibles and natural ability you would like to see in a young passer. Barnett doesn’t fit the ‘game-manager’ moniker that’s followed recent Crimson Tide signal callers. He can move out of the pocket and make plays with his feet as well.

2. TEXAS A&M — Kyler Murray, 5-10, 180, Allen, Texas, Five-Star (3): Oregon, Arkansas, Oklahoma. Several major programs wanted Murray, arguably the most accurate quarterback of the 2015 recruiting cycle. He always knows where to go with the football and what the defense is going to do before it happens. Murray has a bit of Johnny Manziel-style elusiveness and has the speed to out-run linebackers. He’ll push Kenny Hill and Kyle Allen for early playing time.

3. TENNESSEE — Jauan Jennings, 6-4, 185, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Four-Star (6)

4. FLORIDA — Sheriron Jones, 6-3, 190, Moreno Valley, Ca., Four-Star (8)

5. SOUTH CAROLINA — Lorenzo Nunez, 6-3, 190, Kennesaw, Ga., Four-Star (9)

6. OLE MISS — Jason Pellerin, 6-4, 215, New Iberia, La., Three-Star (16)
