College football is becoming more and more about the quarterbacks, and the SEC has some great dual-threat quarterbacks already on campus and some big-time incoming prospects.

Here are the SEC’s top five dual-threat quarterback signees:

Editor’s note: Saturday Down South’s references to ratings follow the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

1. Kyler Murray, Texas A&M (Allen, TX)
The Skinny: The country’s top dual-threat quarterback will hope to follow in Johnny Manziel’s footsteps at Texas A&M. Murray isn’t very big, but he’s an electrifying playmaker. Murray has a quick release and a strong arm, and he’s the perfect fit for Texas A&M’s wide open attack, assuming he doesn’t sign a Major League Baseball contract come June. Murray’s high school numbers were just silly. He threw for over 4,700 yards with 54 touchdowns, compared to rushing for more than 1,490 yards and 25 touchdowns.

2. Jauan Jennings, Tennessee (Murfreesboro, TN)
The Skiny: Jauan Jennings is one of two top dual-threat quarterbacks from the 2015 recruiting class signed by Tennessee. Jennings is the better of the two. Jennings has great size at 6-4, 190 pounds, and he’s a great fit for Butch Jones’ spread attack at Tennessee. What’s even better is that Jennings is an early enrollee and will get to go through spring practice as the No. 2 quarterback. Jennings threw for 2,155 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushed for 883 yards and 17 touchdowns during his senior season in 2014.

3. Sheriron Jones, Tennessee (Moreno Valley, CA)
The Skinny: Tennessee’s back to its old self recruiting elite players from California, and Jones is one of the latest. The former Florida commit will arrive on campus this December, and he’s a good-looking prospect. Jones is elusive and will remind you of an athlete with the football. Jones could be looking at a redshirt season in 2015.

4. Lorenzo Nunez, South Carolina (Kennesaw, GA)
The Skinny: How will Steve Spurrier handle a dual-threat quarterback? Nunez is one of the country’s best quarterbacks, but he’s most likely going to redshirt in 2015. Nunez has strong footwork and a quick release to go along with strong intangibles in a leadership role, and he’s the future at the position for the Gamecocks.

5. Jason Pellerin, Ole Miss (New Iberia, LA)
The Skinny: With LSU’s problems at quarterback, it’s somewhat surprising the Tigers didn’t offer Jason Pellerin. However, he did add that an LSU offer wouldn’t have swayed him from his Ole Miss commitment anyway. Pellerin is a couple years away from being an impact player, especially if Chad Kelly is the starter in 2015, and he’ll have to fight for playing time with returners Ryan Buchanan and DeVante Kincade.
