National Signing Day is on Feb. 4 and the SEC is primed to bring in another impressive haul of top recruits in the 2015 recruiting class.

In the next 25 days, Saturday Down South counts down the top 25 recruits either committed to the SEC or strongly considering SEC schools.

No. 13 Kyler Murray

Position: Quarterback
247Sports ranking: No. 33 overall; No. 5 overall in Texas
Committed: Texas A&M

The skinny: Ironically, Kyler Murray will remind you of Johnny Manziel. He scrambles around the pocket like Manziel, and he plants and even throws like Manziel. Murray isn’t very big — listed at 5-10, 180, but what he lacks in size he makes up for by just being a pure playmaker. Murray threw for more than 10,000 yards and rushed for more than 4,000 yards in high school. How’s that for numbers? Although Oklahoma was said to be making a move on Murray, Texas A&M should hold onto the elite signal caller.

Freshman projection: With Kenny Hill now off the quarterback depth chart, it makes room for Kyler Murray’s arrival and hopeful impact. Although Kyle Allen will be the starter in 2015, Murray’s arsenal is much different being a dual-threat quarterback. The logical solution would be for Murray to redshirt next season, but that’s unlikely. Kevin Sumlin will want his backup to get game reps in case Allen does go down with an injury at some point in the season. Murray will turn heads with his play, and he’ll have to overcome the height size stigma throughout his career.
