Dak Prescott, Trae Elston, J.K. Scott, Dre Greenlaw, Spencer Pulley and Marquis Haynes played key roles in their teams’ victories this week. On Monday, they were recognized by the SEC.

Prescott, Mississippi State’s standout quarterback, was named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week after a dominant performance in the Bulldogs’ 42-16 win over Kentucky.

On Saturday, Prescott was responsible for a school record-tying six touchdowns (three passing, three rushing). He became the first player in school history to throw for over 300 yards and rush for over 100 yards in the same game. Prescott finished with 465 yards of total offense, which was the third-highest total in Bulldogs history. He passed for 348 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing for a season-high 117 yards and three scores.

The six total touchdowns was the most by an SEC player this season, and tied a school record. The six touchdowns were also the most by an SEC player in a conference game since Auburn’s Cam Newton had six in the 2010 SEC Championship Game. Prescott joined Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel and Clemson’s Tajh Boyd as the only FBS quarterbacks in the last 15 years with at least 348 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in one game.

Ole Miss defensive back Trae Elston was named the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Week. Elston had a career-high five pass break-ups, made three tackles and also had a tackle for loss in the Rebels’ 23-3 win over Texas A&M. Elston was a big part of an Ole Miss defense that shut down Texas A&M’s high-scoring offense. The Rebels held the Aggies to no touchdowns and just 192 yards of total offense. It was the Aggies’ worst offensive showing of the season, and the Rebels’ best.

Alabama punter J.K. Scott was the Special Teams Player of the Week. Scott, a sophomore, averaged 49.8 yards per punt in the Crimson Tide’s 19-14 win over Tennessee. He had two 56-yard punts. Two of his punts pinned the Volunteers inside their own 20-yard line.

Arkansas linebacker Dre Greenlaw was the SEC’s Freshman of the Week. Greenlaw had a career-high 16 tackles in the Razorbacks’ 54-46 quadruple overtime win over Auburn, with 12 of those tackles coming after halftime. The 16 tackles are the second-most by an SEC player in a conference game this season, and the most by a Razorback since Alan Turner had 16 against Mississippi State on Nov. 23, 2013. His 16 tackles tie T.J. Edwards of Wisconsin and Azeez Al-Shaair of Florida Atlantic for the most nationally by a freshman this season.

Vanderbilt center Spencer Pulley was the Offensive Lineman of the Week. Pulley earned a blocking grade of 99 percent, anchoring a Commodore offensive line that produced 168 rushing yards in a 10-3 victory over Missouri. It was the most rushing yards allowed this season by the Tigers. Pulley also registered four pancake blocks, including one on the deciding touchdown run by Ralph Webb.

Ole Miss defensive end Marquis Haynes was chosen the Defensive Lineman of the Week. The sophomore had two sacks and three tackles for loss in the Rebels’ 23-3 win over Texas A&M. Haynes also forced a fumble and broke up a pass.
