In ESPN’s weekly coaches poll this week, coaches were asked to vote on the best player in college football history.

Former Georgia star RB Herschel Walker took home the victory, beating second-place Archie Griffin, a former Ohio State running back.

Walker ran for 5,259 yards and 49 touchdowns in his Georgia career. He scored four other touchdowns on receptions.

Running backs dominated the voting, with Oklahoma State’s Barry Sanders, Auburn’s Bo Jackson and Texas’s Earl Campbell finishing third through fifth, respectively.

Florida QB Tim Tebow, who finished sixth, was the top non-running back in the rankings.
