It’s time for some expert predictions for Week 6 in the SEC.

There are five games involving SEC teams this week, so let’s take a look at projected outcomes for Saturday’s matchups, according to four different media outlets — USA TODAY, Athlon Sports, Bleacher Report and FBSchedules.

SEC PICKS BY USA TODAY COLUMNIST DAN WOLKEN

  • Alabama over Arkansas
  • Texas A&M over Tennessee

Note: With LSU-Florida being postponed until further notice (i.e. cancelled), Dan only makes two SEC picks this week. He’s sure that Alabama will improve to 6-0 on the season and cruise to its 10th straight win against Arkansas, and he thinks Texas A&M will put an end to Tennessee’s late-game magic with a win in College Station, where the Aggies would assuredly ascend to one of the top six spots in next week’s AP Top 25 Poll.

SEC PICKS BY ATHLON SPORTS EDITOR STEVEN LASSAN

  • Vanderbilt over Kentucky
  • Georgia over South Carolina
  • Auburn over Mississippi State
  • Texas A&M over Tennessee
  • Alabama over Arkansas

Note: How will Georgia respond after losing the way it did in such heartbreaking fashion vs. Tennessee? Earlier this week, coach Kirby Smart addressed the media and said that you simply just “move on.”

“Well, we saw what we practice a lot on Thursdays,” Smart said. “We would like (Lorenzo) Carter to be closer up and into the fray. We have a 24-play reel of Hail Marys that we study, they play it the same way we do. Some make plays and some don’t.

“We are way past it. We are on to South Carolina. We are moving on.”

Now a Sunday afternoon kickoff due to Hurricane Matthew, the Bulldogs — who have won two of their last three meetings with USC but have dropped four of the last six — head to Williams-Brice Stadium as 6.5-point favorites.

SEC PICKS BY BLEACHER REPORT COLUMNIST BRIAN PEDERSEN

  • Mississippi State 27, Auburn 21
  • Texas A&M 26, Tennessee 20
  • Kentucky 16, Vanderbilt 13
  • Alabama 27, Arkansas 20
  • Georgia 23, South Carolina 14

Note: You know that warm and fuzzy feeling you get when your team wins? Take that and multiply it by 100, and that’s how Tennessee fans felt when they beat Georgia on a last-second Hail Mary to improve to 5-0 for the first time since 1998 — the last time the Volunteers won a national championship. But losing to Texas A&M the week before facing No. 1 Alabama would erase that feeling rather quickly, and Brian writes that the magical run ends Saturday for Rocky Top:

Tennessee has taken last season and flipped it upside down, turning the blown leads of 2015 into improbable rallies this year. That’s a dangerous game plan and one that won’t work against Texas A&M’s rush offense, which is averaging 6.73 yards per carry and has produced first downs on 31.8 percent of its runs.

SEC PICKS BY FBSCHEDULES WRITER ERIC TAYLOR

  • Auburn 31, Mississippi State 28 (2OT)
  • Tennessee 37, Texas A&M 31
  • Kentucky 21, Vanderbilt 17
  • Alabama 31, Arkansas 21
  • Georgia 30, South Carolina 27 (OT)

Note: With a victory in Nashville, Kentucky would sit at an even .500 with half of the season remaining to win three more games for bowl eligibility. Unfortunately for coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats, they will likely be considered underdogs every game (save Austin Peay) from here on out.
