It’s time for some expert predictions for Week 13 in the SEC.

With LSU-Texas A&M and Arkansas-Missouri already in the books, there are seven more games involving SEC teams this weekend. Let’s take a look at projected outcomes for Saturday’s matchups, according to four different media outlets — USA TODAY, Athlon Sports, Bleacher Report and FBSchedules.

SEC PICKS BY USA TODAY COLUMNIST DAN WOLKEN

  • Alabama over Auburn
  • Vanderbilt over Tennessee

Note: C’mon USA TODAY, where are the rest of the SEC games? Having predicted the LSU win, Dan has a chance to go three-for-three this week but will need an upset from Vanderbilt over Tennessee in Nashville. Butch Jones is 2-2 against the Commodores, but 2-0 vs. Derek Mason. Still, Vandy needs a win to guarantee a bowl berth and the Vols may not be as motivated to win after missing out on an SEC title game appearance.

SEC PICKS BY ATHLON SPORTS EDITOR STEVEN LASSAN

  • Louisville over Kentucky
  • Ole Miss over Mississippi State
  • Tennessee over Vanderbilt
  • Alabama over Auburn
  • Georgia over Georgia Tech
  • Clemson over South Carolina
  • Florida State over Florida

Note: Like I pointed out in this week’s SEC schedule facts piece, this is the first time since 2006 that neither Ole Miss (5-6) nor Mississippi State (4-7) enter their rivalry matchup without already being bowl eligible. Steven thinks the decision to burn true freshman quarterback Shea Patterson’s redshirt will ultimately pay off, though, picking the Rebels to win their third straight Egg Bowl and receive a postseason bid.

Per usual, Steven elaborated on his picks via email:

The SEC faces an uphill battle in its non-conference rivalry matchups against the ACC. I like Florida State, Clemson and Louisville to knock off their rivals, with Georgia defeating Georgia Tech as the only win for the SEC. Inside of conference play, Ole Miss gets bowl eligible with a win over Mississippi State, but Vanderbilt falls just short against Tennessee. Auburn’s defense should give Alabama some trouble, but the Crimson Tide are simply too strong and pull away in the second half.

SEC PICKS BY BLEACHER REPORT COLUMNIST BRIAN PEDERSEN

  • Louisville 64, Kentucky 40
  • Georgia 24, Georgia Tech 20
  • Alabama 27, Auburn 13
  • Ole Miss 34, Mississippi State 31
  • Clemson 41, South Carolina 20
  • Vanderbilt 30, Tennessee 28
  • Florida State 24, Florida 13

Note: Alabama has beaten Auburn three out of the last four times when in Tuscaloosa, averaging 41.8 points per game. Vegas expects a defensive battle this time around, however, setting an over/under of just 47 total points — and Brian is taking that one step further by projecting even less than that.

SEC PICKS BY FBSCHEDULES WRITER ERIC TAYLOR

  • Georgia 16, Georgia Tech 12
  • Louisville 44, Kentucky 41 (OT)
  • Mississippi State 28, Ole Miss 24
  • Alabama 26, Auburn 13
  • Clemson 41, South Carolina 28
  • Tennessee 48, Vanderbilt 14
  • Florida 22, Florida State 20

Note: At 6-5, Kentucky will be going to its first bowl game since 2010. That also happens to be the year that the Wildcats last beat Louisville. Will UK be able to overcome the odds — it’s a 26-point underdog — and claim its first Governor’s Cup win in over five years? Fans certainly wouldn’t be able to complain about a result similar to Eric’s prediction, which features a close overtime loss, as it would simply add to the program’s momentum for 2017.

“There is something about this Louisville team that tells me they are out of gas,” Eric wrote. “… Kentucky has been playing pretty well as of late and this wouldn’t be the first time it has found a way to stay close with U of L when (the latter) is the heavy favorite.”
