It’s never too early to recruit for next year.

Alabama picked up some big news for its 2018 class on Tuesday when four-star ATH Xavier Williams of Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, Fla.) announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on his Twitter account.

Williams, who measures 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, can play both wide receiver and cornerback. He’s rated as the No. 72 overall recruit, No. 2 athlete and No. 16 Florida prospect by the 247Sports Composite. Former Crimson Tide offensive tackles and tight ends coach Mario Cristobal, now at Oregon, was Williams’ primary recruiter at Alabama.
