Nation's No. 1 RB names 2 SEC teams in top 4
The nation’s No. 1 running back, Zamir White, released his top four teams, and two SEC programs made the cut: Alabama and Georgia.
Top 4?
1. Georgia
2.Alabama
3. Clemson
4. North Carolina— Zamir White (@zeus1_34) February 21, 2017
Surprise, right?
The Laurinburg, North Carolina, native is rated as the No. 3 overall prospect in the class of 2018, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. White is listed at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, and he’s the No. 1 player in the state.
White isn’t supposed to wait until National Signing Day to make his decision either; right now, it’s expected in June.
If you remember, former UGA backs Keith Marshall (Raleigh, NC) and Todd Gurley (Tarboro, NC) were both from North Carolina, and the Dawgs have a nice running back pipeline in the state. White visited Georgia this past Saturday for his second visit in three weeks. However, it wouldn’t be a surprise for White to eventually sign with any of the four programs.
He’s a big-time play-maker and looks to be the total package with prototypical size.
