Leonard Fournette had a mixed performance at the NFL Scouting Combine last weekend.

After turning in a subpar 28.5-inch performance in the vertical jump test, the former LSU star blazed his way to a 4.51-second 40-yard dash — an incredible mark for someone who weighs 240 pounds.

Therefore, one NFL scout told NFL.com that he’s willing to overlook Fournette’s poor jump in favor of his speed and other positive assets:

“It’s interesting to talk to other scouts and find out where their priorities are,” the anonymous AFC scout said. “I was talking to a guy from another team who kept talking about Fournette’s vertical jump. Here is a guy who ran a 4.51 at 240 pounds and this guy was worried about his vertical. I guess he won’t win the team slam dunk championship, but he will run over you.”

Fortunately, slam dunks aren’t a huge part of NFL football (don’t tell that to Jimmy Graham or Antonio Gates, though), so Fournette should be just fine. He’s expected to hear his named called within the first 10 picks of the 2017 NFL Draft next month.
