Though Greg Morris is 45 years old, he’s not letting his age stop him from attempting to accomplish his dreams.

Morris attended Monday’s walk-on tryouts at Clemson, hoping to become the oldest player ever to don a Tigers’ jersey.

Morris told The Post and Courier he’s excited for the opportunity to walk on with the Tigers, especially if they can make a run at another title in 2017:

“I tell my wife, I say, ‘What if I was a walk-on last year and made the team and was able to get a national championship?’ ” Morris laughed. “It would be amazing. It’s an opportunity that was given, and just being able to make it would be a dream come true.”

Though he’s a long shot to make the team (and he knows it), he said he wanted to give it a shot while he still could. His wife, Tanya, encouraged him to take the leap, too:

“I just wanted him to try it,” Tanya said, beaming. “If they can see past his age and see what he does, I know he can do it. You can’t lose by trying.”

The report says coach Dabo Swinney simply smiled when asked about Morris’s chances of making the team, but at least the 45-year-old Clemson student (studying American Sign Language) took a chance and pursued his dream.

That’s more than a lot of people (even those half his age) can say.
