As the 2017 NFL Draft draws closer and closer, several analysts are busy updating their draft rankings as teams make moves in free agency.

Recently, ESPN analyst Mel Kiper released the third version of his mock draft, and there are plenty of SEC stars featured.

In fact, Kiper has 11 of the conference’s biggest stars slated to be picked in the first round of April’s draft. The 11 players, ranging from No. 1 to No. 32 overall, are:

  • No. 1: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M — Cleveland Browns
  • No. 3: Jamal Adams, S, LSU — Chicago Bears
  • No. 4: Jonathan Allen, DL, Alabama — Jacksonville Jaguars
  • No. 6: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama — New York Jets
  • No. 8: Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 15: Reuben Foster, LB, Alabama — Indianapolis Colts
  • No. 21: Charles Harris, DE, Mizzou — Detroit Lions
  • No. 23: Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee — New York Giants
  • No. 24: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU — Oakland Raiders
  • No. 25: Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama — Houston Texans
  • No. 32: Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama — New Orleans Saints

With pro days and other pre-draft events still on the schedule for the coming weeks, expect these rankings to change yet again before teams gather in Philadelphia at the end of April to make their final selections.

Who knows? With so much more time to see players live, more SEC athletes could work their way into the first-round mix.
