During his long winded college career, quarterback Trevor Knight has experienced many intimidating venues. Experiencing so many varying road trips playing in both the Big 12 and the SEC, he would know better than most how to gauge the difficulty of playing in one stadium environment over another.

Dating back to his playing career with Oklahoma, Knight has played games in rowdy Morgantown against West Virginia, in South Bend at Notre Dame, as well as games at Oklahoma State, at Baylor, and at Texas Tech. In his one year with Texas A&M, Knight played at Auburn, at Alabama, at South Carolina and survived the ringing cowbells of Starkville at Mississippi State. Despite all the road trips made in his career, Knight claims the most intimidating was Neyland Stadium.

Knight made the declaration during his Tuesday segment on the Cole Cubelic Show.

While Knight did not actually take the field on the road against the Vols, he was the backup to starter Baker Mayfield, Vol Nation still managed to leave a lasting impression on the former Sooner. Of course, Knight and the Sooners got the last laugh on Sept. 12, 2015, as Oklahoma came back from a 17-point deficit to win 31-24 in overtime. Immediately after the game, OU head coach Bob Stoops called the game ‘maybe his favorite win’ of his Oklahoma head coaching career.

Tennessee fans may have done everything they could do to help the Vols win on the field that day but the team still came up just short. At least Vol Nation will get another crack at the Sooners in the coming years, as the two schools recently announced a new home-and-home series in the coming years.
