Former Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly may not be generating much buzz ahead of the 2017 NFL Draft, but perhaps he should be.

According to ESPN’s Sports Science, Kelly got the highest rating of any quarterback in terms of accuracy in the past six years, even beating out former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston:

Kelly finished his two-year Ole Miss career with 6,800 passing yards and 50 touchdowns, so he clearly knows how to play the position.

However, off-the-field issues are what may keep NFL teams from selecting him in the upcoming draft. He wasn’t invited to the NFL Scouting Combine because of those issues, so teams weren’t able to get a good look at him until the Ole Miss pro day.

Whether or not he gets drafted, Kelly will likely end up at some team’s training camp this summer. Wherever he does land, Sports Science believes that team will be getting one of the most accurate passers to come out of college in recent memory.
