The path has certainly been interesting for Stephen Guidry, a JUCO WR who was once an LSU commit. After reclassifying to the 2018 class and shedding his commitment to LSU, the Louisiana-based prospect has narrowed his choices to a top five, and the Tigers, as well as the Mississippi State Bulldogs, are in the mix.

Guidry was once a four-star recruit according to 247Sports, but he’ll settle for the title of the nation’s No. 1 ranked JUCO player in 2018. He has long been coveted for his soft hands and 6-foot-4-inch frame, and now it will be two SEC schools battling for his services next season.

As a player, Guidry uses his lanky frame and large hands to make plays, and he possesses the breakaway speed to lose defenders in space.

Presumably, the JUCO prospect will want to go to a developed offense to showcase his skills after already expending a year of eligibility at Hinds C. C.

Though the hometown Tigers may have already secured his commitment once, the wide-open offense at Mississippi State is certainly a draw. Only time will tell where this talented player ends up.
