Dak Prescott made an appearance on the nationally televised program Good Morning America Wednesday morning. The current Dallas and former Mississippi State quarterback didn’t join the show to talk exclusively football, however, his appearance mostly revolved around his connection with cancer awareness foundation ‘Ready. Raise. Rise.’

Prescott joined Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet on the program, who also helps to raise awareness for the foundation. Both men shared their stories of losing family members to cancer during the program.

“The message Dak and I, and ‘Ready.Raise. Rise.,’ want to say is that cancer diagnosis is a serious thing, obviously,” Stonestreet said on the show. “What we are working toward is to make cancer more treatable, more manageable, more survivable for the patient.”
