ESPN has announced its on-air crews for college football’s opening weekend, and it includes some pretty interesting pairings for the SEC’s top games.

The marquee game featured on ABC in primetime Sept. 2, No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 3 Florida State, will be called by Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Maria Taylor. Tom Rinaldi also will join the crew on the sideline when the teams kick off at 8 p.m. ET.

“ESPN’s college football kickoff weekend schedule (Thursday, Aug. 31 –  Monday, Sept. 4) will be unprecedented as, for the first time in the sport’s storied history, the preseason’s top team opens the season vs. an opponent ranked in the top 3,” a report from ESPN MediaZone with the full list of broadcasters and games stated.

Joe Tessitore, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe will begin their second season together for the No. 11 Michigan vs. No. 17 Florida matchup which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

The SEC Network season kicks off Thursday, Aug. 31 as Florida A&M travels to Little Rock, Ark., to play the Razorbacks. Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic will call that game.

SEC Network Noon game on Saturday between Missouri State and Missouri will be called by David Neal, Matt Stinchcomb with Dawn Davenport.

On ESPN at 3pm NC State vs. South Carolina from Charlotte will be worked by Dave Pasch, Greg McElroy and Tom Luginbill.

On SEC Network at 4 pm, Charleston Southern is at Mississippi State with Taylor Zarzour, Andre Ware and Olivia Harlan working the game.

Saturday evening at 6:15 pm on ESPN, Appalachian State travels to No. 15 Georgia with Mike Patrick, Tommy Tuberville and Paul Carcaterra calling the action.

The night game on ESPNU is at 7:30 pm between South Alabama and Ole Miss.
Anish Shroff, Ahmad Brooks and Roddy Jones will call that game.

The SEC Network’s late game will be Georgia Southern at No. 12  Auburn. Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers, and Cole Cubelic will be there.

ESPN’s late game on opening Saturday will be the 2017 AdvoCare Texas Kickoff: BYU vs. No. 13 LSU from Houston. Bob Wischusen, Brock Huard and Allison Williams will be there to call the action.

Additionally, Herbstreit will call the Tennessee-Georgia Tech game on Monday, Sept. 5, along with Rece Davis. Taylor will be on the sidelines.
