Alabama is still favored to win the SEC this season, but one team is starting to look like it could hang with the Tide in Atlanta.

The Crimson Tide remain No. 1 in the AP Poll, and it is not hard to see why. Alabama is 7-0 with a 4-0 record in SEC play. Texas A&M has been the only team in the SEC to hold Alabama under 40 points, and the Tide have outscored SEC opponents 193-31.

Alabama remains the favorite in the SEC, but Georgia is aiming to keep pace with the Tide. The Bulldogs are up to No. 3 in the AP Poll and are also 7-0 with four wins in the SEC. The Bulldogs have scored at least 31 points in six of seven games this season and have scored 40 or more in three straight.

Alabama and Georgia definitely look like the top two teams in the SEC and seem destined for a matchup in Atlanta when it is all said and done.

Alabama has been more impressive than Georgia to this point on both sides of the ball, and one prediction gives the Tide a 60% chance of winning the SEC. However, Georgia is now up to a 30% chance to win the SEC in Kirby Smart’s second season with the Bulldogs.
