Welcome to Week 10 of the college football season!

We are heading into the later portion of the season and the first week of action after the release of the first Playoff Top 25 Rankings. Georgia and Alabama are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 respectively, and both teams will play crucial games against an SEC opponent this week.

Alabama will host No. 19 LSU in another classic rivalry matchup. The Tigers have looked much better since losing to Troy, but the Crimson Tide have rolled after dominating nearly every opponent this season. Saturday should be a great game between the two, and Alabama will look to improve its resume with a win over the Tigers.

Georgia will host South Carolina Saturday in an important matchup in the SEC East. The Gamecocks, although a long shot, remain in competition for the East title. South Carolina would need to beat the Bulldogs, run the table, and have Georgia lose another SEC game.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have their sights on something much bigger this season. Georgia has a shot to head to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game and a potential birth in the Playoff. A loss would not derail the Bulldogs season, but it would make getting to the Playoff much harder.

Bill Connely with SB Nation provided the S&P+ projections for every game coming up in Week 10, and here is how the SEC games are projected to turn out:
