Mizzou WR Emanuel Hall has emerged as one of the best deep threats in the nation this year and has been especially hot as of late.

Last weekend, he torched the Tennessee secondary for two scores and now has 706 yards and six touchdowns on only 31 catches this year.

For Hall, who is a Tennessee native, beating the Vols was important to him. However, according to STLToday.com, this weekend’s game at Vanderbilt is even more personal for the former recruit from the Nashville area:

“Vanderbilt offered me,” Hall said. “That was one of my biggest. I was going to commit there for a little bit.”

However, Vandy pulled the scholarship offer at the last second and Hall ended up at Mizzou, where QB Drew Lock and the Tigers are happy to have him:

“They ended up kind of taking it (the scholarship offer) back a little bit at the end,” Hall said. “I wasn’t good enough, or whatever. I don’t know what it was, but they weren’t really serious. It was the first year of the new coaching staff. They kind of just dropped me as a recruit.”

Lock, Hall and the Tigers will be very eager to win on Saturday to pick up their sixth win and clinch bowl eligibility.

See if Hall gets free for another long touchdown or two on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on the SEC Network.
