Another domino falls: UCLA announces Jim Mora has been fired
It’s going to be a crazy offseason as several big-name programs — including Tennessee, Florida and potentially Texas A&M in the SEC — look for new coaches.
Therefore, teams don’t want to wait for the end of the year to start making their moves, which led UCLA to fire coach Jim Mora after a loss to USC on Saturday night.
UCLA announced the move on Sunday afternoon, as you can see in the tweet below:

Interestingly, the Bruins have long been considered a potential landing spot for coach Chip Kelly, who is also on Florida’s radar.
Therefore, the move to fire Mora may have been in response to intensifying rumors coming out of Gainesville. What happens next remains to be seen, but both schools may soon be locked in a bidding war for the former NFL and Oregon coach.
