The Texas A&M Aggies are undergoing a coaching change this offseason, transitioning from Kevin Sumlin to Jimbo Fisher.

However, that has put the Aggies’ 2018 recruiting class in jeopardy, as players decide whether or not they want to stick with the school.

Fortunately for Fisher and his new coaching staff, 4-star DE Max Wright reaffirmed his commitment to the Aggies on Monday afternoon:

According to the 247Sports composite, Wright is the No. 7 strong-side defensive end in the class of 2018 and the No. 20 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

Currently, the Aggies have 15 commits in their 2018 class, which ranks No. 5 in the SEC and No. 15 nationally, per 247Sports.

Having Wright firmly on board is a huge boost for Fisher as he continues to hit the recruiting trails hard, visiting several of A&M’s top commits.

It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the recruiting cycle plays out, but Monday’s news was good for the Aggies.
