It’s the time of year where major news outlets are releasing their All-American teams, recognizing the best of the best from the 2017 season.

On Tuesday, Sporting News released its first- and second-team All-American rosters, and plenty of SEC players made the cut. Auburn led the way with four total players honored, but Alabama and Georgia were the only teams with players on the first team.

The entire list of Sporting News All-Americans can be found here, but the nine SEC players can be seen below:

First team:

  • Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia
  • Minkah Fitzpatrick, S, Alabama

Second team:

  • Kerryon Johnson, RB, Auburn
  • Bradley Bozeman, C, Alabama
  • Braden Smith, OG, Auburn
  • Carlton Davis, CB, Auburn
  • Donte Jackson, CB, LSU
  • Johnny Townsend, P, Florida
  • Daniel Carlson, K, Auburn

Smith and Fitzpatrick are both expected to be first-round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, and both will lead their teams against tough foes in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

It’s already been a stellar year for those two, but it could get a lot better before they head off to the professional ranks.
