It has been clear since LSU lost to Troy earlier this year that head coach Ed Orgeron and offensive coordinator Matt Canada don’t have the best relationship.

In fact, there are rumors swirling that the Tigers plan to part ways with Canada after the Citrus Bowl, which would be a surprising development.

On Friday, Canada spoke with reporters and said he would love to remain with the Tigers next year, as you can see in the video below, shared by @RossDellenger on Twitter:

“I’d love to be here next year,” he says in the video.

However, he goes on to say he hasn’t had any discussions about his future in Baton Rouge:

“No, I haven’t,” he says. “Right now, it’s about the bowl game. I’m working hard, I set up a plan. I say I, but I mean we as an offensive staff set up a great game plan. We’re playing a tremendous defense. That’s all we’re focused on right now — trying to get to 10 wins.”

Is Canada being sincere, or does he already have one foot out the door? That remains to be seen, but the situation at LSU continues to get weirder.
