The big moves from College Station ain’t over as Texas A&M has apparently stolen Oklahoma’s longtime strength and conditioning coach Jerry Schmidt. One thing is abundantly clear, Jimbo Fisher isn’t messing around.

After throwing serious money at LSU’s defensive coordinator Dave Aranda and ultimately stealing DC Mike Elko away from Notre Dame, Texas A&M has made a serious commitment to building Fisher a staff many would be envious of heading into the 2018 offseason.

If you are unfamiliar with Schmidt, he’s been on staff at OU since 1999. Prior to his long stint in Norman, Schmidt was at Florida under Steve Spurrier at Notre Dame under Lou Holtz and at Oklahoma State. According to his Oklahoma bio, he’s worked with three Heisman Trophy winners Danny Wuerffel (Florida), Barry Sanders (Oklahoma State) and Tim Brown (Notre Dame). He’s also helped 18 players become first-round selections in the NFL.

News of Schmidt’s arriving was first reported by one of Schmidt’s former pupils at Oklahoma, Dusty Dvoracek:
