Ed Orgeron’s 2018 staff is now complete.

Thursday, LSU announced the signing of safeties Bill Busch. Busch is LSU’s 10th and final assistant on Orgeron’s coaching staff for the upcoming season. Last season, Busch served as co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach for Rutgers.

Busch also has experience at Ohio State, Wisconsin, Utah State and Nebraska. During his time with the Badgers, Busch crossed paths with LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda. LSU’s defensive mastermind is clearly glad to reunite with Busch.

“Bill is a consummate pro, who can scheme, coach technique and recruit. We are looking forward to getting him down here.” Aranda said via a statement the school. “On top of all of that, he is a great guy.”

Busch offered up the following comments in the same statement release:

“It’s a huge honor and opportunity to coach at a place like LSU and in the Southeastern Conference. Coach O is building something really special. It’s equally exciting to reunite with coach Aranda and work with coach Corey Raymond. I can’t wait to be a part of DBU.”
