On Sunday, the NCAA Tournament selection committee gave fans a preview of the bracket as it stands heading into the final month of the regular season.

Among the top 16 projected seeds, Auburn and Tennessee garnered the No. 5 overall seed and the No. 13 overall seed respectively. One notable name missing among the top 16 is Kentucky, as the Wildcats have struggled. Sitting at just 17-8 overall and 6-6 in conference play, the Cats could be three to four losses away from missing the entire tournament.

Specifically from this past weekend, Alabama upset No. 15 Tennessee 78-50. The Tide’s 28-point victory was its largest win over a top 15 opponent in program history. Texas A&M also beat No. 24 Kentucky 85-74, slapping the Cats with yet another conference loss.

Looking ahead to the SEC tournament, several teams are starting to hit their stride right now. Auburn looks unbeatable at times, and Alabama and Texas A&M are starting to catch fire. Florida also looks like a team that can beat anyone in the country at times. Don’t forget about Missouri potentially getting back one of the country’s elite players in Michael Porter Jr., too.

Here’s the current SEC basketball standings with a month left of the regular season:
