As many teams prepare to sweat out Selection Sunday from the insecurity of the bubble, the SEC apparently won’t have that sort of tension.

That’s because, according to ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi, the eight SEC teams with NCAA Tournament hopes are securely in the field of 68.

As you can see below, Lunardi has all eight SEC squads projected to make the field comfortably, led by Tennessee and Auburn as No. 3 seeds and ended by Alabama down on the No. 9 seed line:

  • Auburn — No. 3 seed (West)
  • Tennessee — No. 3 seed (South)
  • Kentucky — No. 5 seed (West)
  • Florida — No. 6 seed (East)
  • Arkansas — No. 6 seed (Midwest)
  • Texas A&M — No. 7 seed (East)
  • Mizzou — No. 8 seed (East)
  • Alabama — No. 9 seed (South)

Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee still have a chance to play their way to higher seeds based on the outcomes of Saturday’s SEC Tournament semifinals and Sunday’s championship game.

However, they are secure in their March Madness bids, so it’ll just be a matter of how high they can rise before the brackets are officially set.
