Virginia Tech coach Buzz Williams discusses game against Collin Sexton, Alabama
The Alabama Crimson Tide snuck into the NCAA Tournament thanks to a great performance in the SEC Tournament. Now, they’re a No. 9 seed and will take on No. 8 Virginia Tech in the first round.
The game, which will take place on Thursday night, will feature a balanced Hokies squad against a Crimson Tide team that relies heavily on sensational freshman PG Collin Sexton.
On Wednesday, Virginia Tech coach Buzz Williams discussed facing Sexton, saying he believes the outstanding guard is the best in the country:
Va Tech coach Buzz Williams on Collin Sexton: "I think he's the best guard in the country. I think the draft will reflect that. But I think we'd be foolish to think it's just him."

He added that the Tide are a much different team than they were at the start of the season, as they’ve continued to mature:
Buzz Williams on Alabama: "Their teams just continue to morph. Like most teams that are good, they've continued to evolve into something else. But their length and athleticism was the same in December."
