Round two and three of the NFL Draft continued Friday night from Arlington, Texas, and much like the first round, the SEC owned the second and third rounds, too.

Things started off slow for the SEC in the third round, but it certainly finished strong. The headliner of the third round could be former LSU standout Arden Key. Key has some off-the-field concerns, and his production dropped off his final season. But if he can put it all together, Key could be a big asset for the Oakland Raiders.

While Alabama led all schools with four first-round draft picks, the Tide finally had a player drafted on the second day when the Jaguars drafted DB Ronnie Harrison at No. 93 overall.

Former SEC players drafted in the third round Friday night

  • No. 66 Lorenzo Carter, RUSH, Georgia (Giants)
  • No. 80 Martinas Rankin, OL, Miss State (Texans)
  • No. 85 Rashaan Gaulden, DB, Tennessee (Panthers)
  • No. 87 Arden Key, DE, LSU (Raiders)
