Former Alabama LB Reuben Foster hasn’t been around the San Francisco 49ers this offseason as he dealt with charges of domestic violence.

The ugly allegations will not see the inside of a courtroom, though, as it was revealed on Wednesday that the charges had been dropped.

According to reporter Cam Inman, the judge dropped the case due to a lack of probable cause:

Additionally, Foster’s charge for having an unlawful weapon was downgraded to a misdemeanor:

Foster’s then-girlfriend told police she made up the domestic violence incident and instead suffered her injuries in a fight with another woman.

Obviously, this is good news for the young linebacker, and now he’ll likely be able to rejoin the 49ers for the start of summer camp.
