Rat poison? No, Nick Saban compares new headset rule to 'mouse manure'
SEC meetings got underway on Tuesday in Destin, Florida, and naturally, Alabama coach Nick Saban was a person of interest.
In addition to commenting on Brandon Kennedy’s looming transfer and Alabama’s recent quarterback commit, Saban also discussed the NCAA’s new rule limiting teams to only 20 headsets per game.
Saban responded in typical Saban fashion, saying the new rule is “like mouse manure when you’re up to your ears in elephant doo-doo”:
Love this question to Nick Saban from @CecilHurt:
“The NCAA passed a rule limiting you to 20 headsets, and I was curious what you were going to do with your other 80 headsets?”Nick’s reply:
“To me it’s kind of like mouse manure when you’re up to your ears in elephant doo-doo."— George Schroeder (@GeorgeSchroeder) May 29, 2018
Indeed, there are much bigger issues facing college football today, so it is a bit strange that coaches will be limited this fall.
However, rules are rules, so like it or not, Saban and the Crimson Tide will have to limit their headset usage when the 2018 season kicks off in a few months.
