The investigation has continued at Ohio State, and it’s now led to a meeting with one of the main people involved in the case.

On Monday, Courtney Smith, ex-wife of former Buckeyes assistant coach Zach Smith, met with the independent investigative team hired by Ohio State’s board of trustees, as announced in a statement from her attorney, Julia Leveridge.

Per Leveridge, Smith was accompanied by her lawyers and welcomed the opportunity to speak with the investigators.

“Courtney continues to be thankful for the support she has received during this time,” Leveridge’s statement read.

Zach Smith, who was the wide receivers coach at Ohio State, was fired last month when reports claimed that he had several domestic violence allegations against him in 2009 and 2015.

The situation led to Urban Meyer being placed on administrative leave, after the Buckeyes’ coach stated he was unaware of the allegations at the time, although reports were released that claimed the contrary.

Zach Smith will reportedly meet with investigators later this week. Perhaps after that meeting, more details will be released by the investigators, especially now that they have already had their meeting with Courtney Smith.
