Auburn’s loss to LSU on Saturday was tough to swallow in itself, but when you factor in the possibility it leaves the Tigers to make the College Football Playoff, it’s a double whammy.

ESPN’s Playoff Predictor took the temperature of several one-loss teams following three weeks of college football, and the odds of making the CFP do not bode well.

Auburn’s chances are 1.6 percent, while Texas A&M’s are 0.7 percent.

Both teams face a tough schedule the rest of the way being in the SEC West, but Auburn has the additional test of playing at Georgia, while Texas A&M is looking at games against Kentucky and at South Carolina, which won’t be easy.

Interestingly, Michigan appears to have the best chances despite having plenty of tough games itself down the stretch, not the least of which is at Ohio State on Nov. 24.
