ESPN’s updated Heisman Watch heading into Week 6 features two SEC players. One who is listed at No. 1 for the second week in a row and one who is a newcomer to the list.

For the second time, Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa received the most votes from ESPN experts to win the Heisman at this point in the season. The Crimson Tide had no problem with Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, and Tagovailoa completed 8-of-8 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in the 56-14 rout of the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Tagovailoa has played consistently well all season, and even though he’s not putting up the highest numbers, it’s understood that he runs the best offense in the country. Tagovailoa has still yet to throw an interception through five games, and has racked up 1,161 yards and 14 touchdowns through the air.

The newcomer to ESPN’s Hesiman Watch is Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr., who has led the Wildcats to perfect record so far in 2018.

Snell Jr. has racked up 639 yards on 115 carries this season and has scored eight touchdowns, including four scores two weeks ago against Mississippi State. The junior running back looks like the best back in the country, and could be a Heisman dark horse if he continues to put up strong numbers.
